What is Meeting Me about?
Designed for groups, made for everyone
With “Meeting Me”, virtual meetings with up to 15 participants can be held. Whether it’s a self-help group, a volunteer initiative or a small club – here, any group can meet meaningfully and have fun at the same time. Cross-platform!
Animated graphics instead of video streaming
Instead of video streaming, everyone is shown in animated graphics and is able to communicate with gestures and movements in addition to audio chat. Instead of camera, only a microphone, headset or smartphone is needed.
Simple, anonymous and free of charge
Meeting Me can be used anonymously and free of charge. To register, all you need to do is enter a user name and an e-mail address – and you’re ready to set up meetings. All those who want to participate receive the activation code and off they go!
Group meetings with Meeting Me
Meeting Me is a data-secure platform for self-help groups, volunteer initiatives and small associations that want to meet online only (even beyond corona) or want to supplement their meetings with a virtual exchange format – for example, to have an additional online meeting alongside physical meetings, to prepare something together or to discuss something at short notice. For people from risk groups or with rare diseases, the app offers a location-independent alternative to face-to-face meetings.
The registration as a user of this site works as data-saving as possible. Only a mail address and a user name have to be entered. Anyone who creates a meeting for their group can set the name, date, schedule and duration of the meetings, as well as define what is written on the board that can be seen in the room, enter group rules and even integrate pictures that then hang on the virtual wall – e.g. the club logo or a group photo.
There are four virtual locations to choose from for the meeting: Self-help contact point, mountain cabin, beach and forest.
Finally, a code is generated, which is then sent to the other members together with the appointment. They start the app and enter the meeting using the room code. The invited users do not have to register or log in, but can participate anonymously if they wish. Nevertheless, all participants have a unique appearance, as they are allowed to create a character (“avatar”) with an individual look before joining the meeting.
